Oh Glory

For the past week, maybe week and a half, I have been listening to the song Oh Glory by Panic! At The Disco. I really enjoy this song because it shows off the weird and unique side of the band. It has a very upbeat tempo. You know you have to bob your head or stomp your foot while listening to the song. To me, it just goes up in my list of favorite songs. Of course Panic! At The Disco is already at the top of my list with many song, this one flies far above a lot of them. There is one point of the song where Brendon Urie goes into two or three different ranges. He starts with a high range, then gradually go to a low range.Overall, it is an utterly amazing song. If you have a strong interest in weirder music, this song and this band are definitely the one for you!

Emperor's New Clothes

On Friday, April 15th, I went to a Panic! At The Disco Concert. It was the GREATEST thing I have ever experienced in my life. One of the songs they had performed was called Emperor's New Clothes. In the video for this song, Brendon Urie turned into a demon and basically created a godly song. There is a high note in the song, and he hits it to perfection. The music video for this song, at first it starts out as a continuation for their song called, This Is Gospel. Brendon is running into the light, and he hears an evil laugh as he descends. I believe it is his transition from and angel to a demon. He executes the role to utter perfection and I can not wait until a new video. At the concert, they performed about 20 to 25 songs, and it was absolutely amazing! Brendon even did a backflip on stage!

Love is Fire

Lately, I have been listening to a band that is actually quite new in the game. This band is called Northern National. Their song, Love is Fire, is an absolutely amazing song, and I feel like a lot of people in our area would really like the acoustics of it. The song itself has a very raw sound, probably because the band actually makes their own music and perfect it to the best of their ability. In the band, every member is literally named Micheal, so forgetting their names would be quite a problem for the listener. I don't really know what the song is truly about, mainly because whenever I do listen to the song, I get lost in how beautiful the song actually is. I am sure someday that I will find out what the song is truly about, although it is probably extremely obvious in the song. My personal favorite line from the song is, "Take me higher, this love is fire." Not only does it mention the song's title, but it really just brings in so much emotion. The raw emotion in the song is enough to bring some tears to the eyes.
